For the past couple of
years, with serious space constraints in a tiny, one-room flat, a heavy work schedule at the school job that was earning me
my bread, I hardly got the scope to work on full-scale canvasses. Not that I was ever too keen on large sizes!
So, these days I work mostly
in a pocketsize sketchbook, that I can carry around with me.
With the insurgence of technology into the world of art, I felt
that it is time we started reevaluating the format for our work. Small images, when scanned
onto an electronic format, seem to take on new dimensions; at least they fit better into our televised lifestyle, anyway!
All works on this page are about 6"X8" - Fountain pen with
smudgings / graphite pencil on paper.
