A Website of Artworks

Hello,

In my perception, art is a language - a medium of communication; since my days of confusion and perplexity at the art college, I have been trying to learn to use that language for a certain purpose - self expression.

I believe I have only just begun to figure out the basics of this language, and so have a long way to go before I can actually put it to the specific use that I hope for.

Besides, how much do I know of my 'self' to try and express it? I'd say, next to nothing!

So, maybe I should rephrase this and say that...

...art for me is an endeavor to delve into the 'self'...

...and express it through the visual language.

All this while I have voceforously claimed that my work is not ready for public viewing.

Recently, thanks to a friend's admonitions, I started addressing the idea from a different direction.

I realised, that by keeping it away from the public eye, I was, in effect, denying my work the scope to bounce itself against the plethora of perspectives that other individual 'selves' may have to offer...

So here's hoping that every one who visits this site will chip in with at least a few words, through the Your Views page...

...I reiterate, this web site is prepared with the intention of furthering the learning process; rather than exhibiting a set of finished art works.

 NOTE

  • This is a site sponsored free of cost by the tripod network.
Therefore, every time you click a link, a separate window comes on with an advertisement.
  • If you minimize the advertisement window, you will not have to keep closing it everytime you click a link.
  • These are extremely heavy pages, thanks to the excess of images! The time taken for each page to load is regretted!
  • For the same reason, some of the pictures may not show on your screen at times; instead, you will find a small, white box with a red cross in it. Usually, right-clicking in that box, to show menu and choosing "show picture", should correct the problem. Sometimes, refreshing the window also helps.
